After moving around for most of her early life, Natalie chose to live in beautiful Los Angeles. Once in LA she attended Santa Monica College where she participated in the Student Sustainability Workshop. This workshop opened her eyes to the world of sustainability and she went on to lead workshops the next three semesters. She then continued on to UCLA where she received a B.A. in Geography/Environmental Studies. Sustainability reached into not only her daily life but her travels as well. She has done three sustainable volunteer trips in three different countries where she learned the importance of natural resources, eco-friendly infrastructure, and wildlife conservation. She continues to travel with sustainability in mind and believes all minds can grow from travel! After graduating she completed two terms with AmeriCorps working with Easter Seals and Rebuilding Together. Here she learned how to interact with diverse communities and physically improve homes within the community. Natalie is overjoyed to come full circle with Sustainable Works and return to where her sustainable journey began. She is excited to introduce sustainability to students with the hope that the Student Sustainability Workshop will impact them as much as it has her.
