We had a great panel discussion with local youth leaders working to make a difference. Climate Action Santa Monica (CASM) Steering Committee member & Climate Corps Lead Intern, Mica Williams, CASM Member and Southern California Governor, Junior State of America, Lilly Chertock, Santa Monica College Associated Students Director of Sustainability, Carla Tatiana Claure, and Ngozi Chukwueke, AmeriCorps CivicSpark Fellow 2020-21 for the City of Santa Monica was our moderator.

3. Make the switch to an all-electric home – Electrify Santa Monica: Rebates Available – Visit SwitchIsOn.org to learn all about efficient electric appliances.
4. Choose an electric vehicle when in the market for a new car
5. Bike, walk, carpool, take public transportation – get out of your car whenever possible
6. Conserve energy at home
7. Support Regenerative Agriculture by shopping at my local Farmers’ Market
8. Compost – divert food waste from the landfill and reduce methane emissions
