2023 Sustainable Quality Awards

Congratulations to the 2023 Sustainable Quality Award Winners

Over 90 people gathered on April 26th at the Annenberg Community Beach House to recognize the 2023 Sustainable Quality Award (SQA) winners for their efforts incorporating sustainable practices into their business. The SQA are awarded to businesses that demonstrate excellence in stewardship of the environment, social responsibility, and economic development. The SQA program is a partnership with the City of Santa Monica and Sustainable Works. 

The event started off with networking over food & beverages while perusing exhibitors, followed by an award ceremony presented by Amanda Grossman – Sustainability Analyst, and  Shannon Parry – Chief Sustainability officer, from the City of Santa Monica’s Office of Sustainability and the Environment, along with Susy Borlido, Co-Executive Director of Sustainable Works. Councilmember Phil Brock attended and gave his remarks.

Many thanks to Back on the Beach Café for curating a scrumptious vegetarian grazing table and Santa Monica Brew Works for providing locally brewed beer! A special thank you to the sustainable business exhibitors that brought rocks to keep their materials from blowing away in the wind:
